Rapid-Deploy “Network-in-a-Box” Data Links for Ship-to-Shore & Ship-to-Ship Ops

We intend to evaluate self-contained data-network kits that can be deployed on small craft or littoral vessels and establish high-throughput links in three scenarios: 1. Ship-to-shore?2. Ship-to-ship?3. One-hop relay (ship-ship-shore). - Test window: late-month sea trials under both clean and deliberately degraded conditions (physical obstacles, EMI, node-count scaling). - Data-only focus: solutions must support IP traffic (text, audio, video up to live-stream) over UHF/SHF, mesh, mmWave / LEO-satellite, or private 5G. Traditional marine VHF/UHF voice radios are out of scope. - Desired form factor: “network-in-a-box” kits that a deck crew can power-up and join with phones, tablets, or laptops. - Baseline participant: KTEN by Khasm Labs is already committed; we aim to test 6-8 total systems. West-Coast (SoCal) vendors are a plus but not required. - Stretch objective: identify any laser/optical or quantum comms packages that are mature enough (<18 months to deploy) for a comparative demo or watch-list.
